Our Beach Home
Our three bedroom home available for holiday rental is beautifully situated in Powfoot village, directly overlooking an original Arts and Crafts style Bowling Pavilion and the beach just beyond. The house sleeps six people in three double bedrooms, and has a lounge with seating for six and a coal/wood burning fire. There is a large kitchen with a breakfast bar, Rangemaster cooker and a dishwasher. The bathroom has a bath and a freestanding shower and the house has central heating and double glazing. There is a private garden to the front of the house across the communal path for the terrace and separated by a hedge from the bowling green. The garden gets the sun for most of the day.
Powfoot Beach
Powfoot beach is located at Powfoot village on the Solway Firth. The Solway Firth is part of the border between Scotland and England, the third largest estuary in the UK and a Special Area of Conservation. The beach is a mix of sand, shingle and mudflats and a popular place for a walk when the tide is out due to its vast size. The views across the beach are stunning and Powfoot village is very picturesque for holidays with its white fishermen's cottages, listed brick built Victorian homes and Arts and Crafts style bowling pavilion. The village is small and has one hotel with a popular bar and restaurant. There is also a golf course and a mile along the road there is a caravan park with a shop. The town of Annan is a five minute drive and has a station, a selection of restaurants, take-aways, local shops and familiar brands including Tesco and Aldi. Gretna Gateway Outlet Village is a 15 minute drive away.

Living Room
Three seater settee; two seater settee; one chair; pouffe; coal and wood burning fire; television; selection of books/games. Overlooks the front with view to the bowling pavilion, bowling green and beach.
Kitchen
Breakfast bar with 4 bar chairs (also small table with 2 chairs); Rangemaster cooker with gas hob and electric ovens; dishwasher; washing machine; fridge with small freezer compartment (two shelves). Full appliance list here. Overlooks the rear.

There is a private garden to the front which gets the sun most of the day. To the rear there is a small outbuilding and parking for one small car. There is additional on street parking at the front of the bowling green. A travel cot is available but please request in advance of your holiday arrival

House is absolutely beautiful, spacious and comfortable (very comfy beds), it has everything you could need. Kitchen is superb! Location is fantastic. 9-hole putting green in front of the house was the highlight for the kids. The area is very quiet. At night it was so dark we could enjoy the sky full of stars. I do recommend."
